Face Book “Seen” Feature
Whilst building my online business using Facebook, I soon realised a need to greatly understand its interface, especially if I was going to have any success.

My online business in its infancy, relies on interacting with others and seeing how they react to me. Reading posts is all well and good, but it is great to react to something which is created, uploaded or written.

In wanting to become involved in interesting debates, share photos as well as imparting information, it was clear that not everyone expresses a reaction. To be honest, it was deflating, especially when a lot of hard work had gone into perfecting posts and my craft.

Nevertheless, what seemed a tunnel of disappointment, and not wanting to be the person who easily gives up, I noticed the “seen” feature, but what did it mean? It was a call to action so I set and got got to know more about the interface and its features.

For anyone struggling, the “seen feature” is an opportunity to see who views you post within a group. People looked at my post, but it depended on whether they took action on the post or not. That’s fine!

Just because people are not on the “seen by” list does not mean they didn’t view it. It was soon very clear there are three reasons why people do not see posts in a group.
1. They have their notifications turned off in the group.
2. Members are not logged onto FB.
3. They are viewing their news feed and not taking action.

I have experienced a great deal of improvement in getting to know Face Book and its interface, and “more people view our posts than we think!”

Also, as I was reminded by an administrator of Flower Artwork (UK) British Artists who responded by saying, “the magic is to keep engaging with other Artisans work by leaving comments and building a rapport because despite more and more of us being in a virtual world, we are all human and making friends and supporting each other the more we lift each other up.”
