I have found that crafting has been good for my health and well being especially when feeling over whelmed with things that happen in everyday life. I know we can't change what life throws at us sometimes, but we can find away to navigate through and I choose to craft, but where do I start?
Whenever I look to start a new project, then I take my time and to put colours together, and textures. Its thinking intuitively about materials and colours when work well together.
Carefully thinking about using colour and the use of a colour wheel is a good place to start because it the relationship between the colours which really helps when you considering the colours you want to use.
For those who do not know, there are 12 colours n a colour wheel, and its divided into primary, secondary, and tertiary colours. Red, orange, yellow, chartreuse green, green spring green, cyan, azure, blue, violet, magenta and rose. A colour wheel is a great tool to help crafters especially when your first starting out, to help put your colours together.
Lets talk about being surrounded by colour, especially yellows and oranges which heighten your emotion and help to foster your creativity. Did you know by adding hints of blue can boost your mental agility and focus. Green is a great colour to weave into your craft room, or place of work, if your seeking calmness or balance.
Take it from me! Knowing your colours helps extenuate your palette.
